Two Messages: The Spot

This post is from a series I wrote between January and July of this year. You can click HERE to start from the first post of the series.

I had three posts written about the “spot” in my brain but now I don’t feel like publishing them. So, I’ll give you the short version.

I’d been very dizzy and nauseated for months. So much so that at times I couldn’t sit up straight without help.

In January I went to the doctor and made a joke that it was either my inner ear or a brain tumor. They scheduled an MRI and we were told on January 31st (the same day 'Alice' contacted us) that they found a 2mm “spot”.

They ran a ton of tests including an echocardiogram because I had a heart problem about 6 years ago. All other tests were clear. I went to a neurologist. After 6 weeks and a ton of pushing for her to look at the actual images of my MRI she said it’s a no big deal type of brain tumor.

My symptoms are much less severe and happen far less often. Everything is fine. It was a nerve wracking 6 months of worrying, testing and waiting but everything is fine now.

The End.
